Matt Lenzie founded Solar Farms For Sale to give UK solar asset owners and buyers a specialist route to each other. His background is UK property transactions and capital: over 25 years he has structured and placed more than £500 million of property finance, working daily with the banks, funds and family offices that now allocate to energy assets.
That career was spent matching assets to the capital that wanted them, and understanding how credit and investment committees actually underwrite. Solar assets are appraised the same way: capacity, connection, consent, lease, revenue stack and counterparty. The vocabulary is different; the discipline is the same.
Every enquiry is read and handled by Matt himself. Sellers get a straight view on whether their project or farm will find a buyer and at what stage of readiness it should come to market. Buyers get their mandate held in confidence and matched only against real assets.

What we do
We broker UK solar assets between sellers and buyers, off market. Operational farms, ready to build projects, and consented land with grid connections come to this desk from owners who want a confidential route to the right counterparties. Funds, IPPs, family offices and developers register mandates describing what they acquire. We appraise, match and run the process to completion, whether the transaction is an asset sale or a sale of the project company's shares.
We are a broker and introducer of principals, not a lender, adviser or fund. We do not offer or promote investments, and both sides of every transaction take their own legal, tax and financial advice. Our incentive is a completed, clean transaction, which is the same thing both counterparties want.
Why the background matters
Solar assets are appraised the way credit and investment committees have always appraised property backed cash flows: what is the income, how certain is it, what secures it, and who is the counterparty. Twenty five years of placing property finance with banks, funds and family offices is directly transferable, and many of the institutions now acquiring UK generation are the same ones. What is new is the vocabulary, megawatts, connection dates, PPAs and Gate 2, and this site exists partly to show we speak it fluently.
